Granger Tangent
She falls into a business-like tone when discussing things she
doesn’t like and may not want to admit.

For instance, she reluctantly admits that Harry has better scores
than she does in Defense.
“Me?” said Harry, now grinning more broadly than
ever. “No I’m not, you’ve beaten me in every test –”
“Actually, I haven’t,” said Hermione coolly. “You
beat me in our third year – the only year we both sat
the test and had a teacher who actually knew the
subject. But I’m not talking about test results,
Harry. Look what you’ve
done!”

Chapter 15
And again she has the same tone in Chapter 21 when she discusses
Harry’s kiss.
Hermione took matters out of his hands.
“Is it Cho?” she asked in a businesslike way. “Did
she corner you after the meeting?”
Numbly surprised, Harry nodded. Ron sniggered,
breaking off when Hermione caught his eye.
“So-er-what did she want?” he asked in a mock casual
voice.
“She –” Harry began, rather hoarsely; he cleared his
throat and tried again. “She-er-”
“Did you kiss?” asked Hermione briskly.
Ron sat up so fast that he sent his ink bottle
flying all over the rug. Disregarding this completely
he stared at Harry.
 “Well?” he demanded.
Harry looked from Ron’s expression of mingled
curiosity and hilarity to Hermione’s slight frown, and
nodded.
Order of the Phoenix
Chapter 21
Her tone isn’t indicative of someone who is enjoying the conversation
or happy for Harry or remotely pleased by it at all. And someone who
isn’t slightly annoyed doesn’t use phrases like “corner”.

Some people think she's completely unaffected by Harry's little
forays. I disagree.

Also, all throughout this scene she is continually referenced as
looking at Ron in disgust...so, yeah, clearly a sign that she doesn't
care at all about Harry because she's so totally in love with Ron.

I'm not saying she and Harry should be all romantical, my point is
that I don't quiet understand how I'm expected to eat lead anvils and
believe that a smart, beautiful, independent girl like Hermione could
ever fall for a dunderhead like Ron.
Thank you.
